1. General Information

These Terms & Conditions govern all purchases made through the Natural Pet Burial website. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Natural Pet Burial is based in Oughterard, Co. Galway, Ireland, and operates solely within the Republic of Ireland.

2. Products & Availability

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, and details are accurate; however, slight variations may occur due to the handmade nature of our items and natural materials used.

For our memorial markers, as with all natural wood products, some weathering and changes in appearance are to be expected over time. Exposure to the elements will gradually lead to natural aging.

All products are handmade by us in small batches. As such, availability may vary and quantities are limited.

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in Euro (€) and payment is taken securely at checkout via Stripe. We do not store or have access to your card details — these are processed securely by our payment partners. You must ensure that all payment details are accurate and that sufficient funds are available before purchasing.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time but such changes will not affect orders already placed.

3. Orders

When you place an order, you will receive an Order Confirmation email. Your order is accepted once payment has been received.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of stock issues, payment failure, or if the order does not comply with these terms.

If we are unable to fulfil your order, you will be notified and refunded in full.

4. Delivery

We currently deliver throughout Ireland only, using Registered Post via An Post.
Orders placed before 1pm, Monday to Friday, will be dispatched the same day, with next-day delivery in most cases.
Orders placed after 1pm, or on weekends or public holidays, will be dispatched the next working day, with delivery on the following day.

Memorial markers have an additional lead time of 5 days before shipping.

We will endeavour to deliver your order within the timeframe stated at the time of purchase. However, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances beyond our control. Any delivery dates provided are approximate only.
If delivery is delayed by more than 30 days, you may contact us to cancel your order and receive a full refund for the product(s) and delivery cost.
At the time of delivery, you (or your representative) will be required to sign for the parcel, after which the goods become your responsibility.

5. Returns and Refunds

We take great care in producing and inspecting each item before dispatch. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to request a return or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, the product must be unused in its original condition.

Please note:

  • Products that include customisation (e.g. personalised engraving) are exempt from full refunds under Irish consumer law.

    • For returned shrouds — we will refund the cost of the shroud minus the cost of the engraved name plate (€20), which cannot be reused. Customers are welcome to carefully remove and keep their customised name plate before returning a shroud.

    • For our memorial markers — as they are a fully customised item, we cannot accept returns unless the item arrived to you faulty or incorrect.

  • The original delivery fee is non-refundable.

  • Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is faulty or incorrect. We recommend using a tracked service, as responsibility for the item remains with you until it reaches us.

Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of us receiving and inspecting your returned item.
You will receive confirmation by email once your refund has been processed.

6. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your order arrives faulty or damaged, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 7 days of delivery, with your order number and photographs of the issue. This helps us resolve it quickly.

We will arrange a repair, replacement, or full refund (including delivery costs), depending on the circumstances. There is no charge for returning or replacing a faulty or incorrect item.

7. Cancellations

You have a right to cancel your order within 14 days of placing it, provided that production has not yet begun.

Please note that for our customised engraved products — once engraving has begun, the personalisation process cannot be reversed and the item cannot be re-used.
If you cancel after engraving has begun for a shroud’s name plaque, a deduction will be made from your refund (€20) to cover the cost of the engraved name plate.
If you cancel after engraving has begun for a memorial marker, unfortunately we cannot provide a refund in this case as this is a fully customised item.

To avoid this, please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel or amend your order.

Your statutory rights under Irish consumer law remain unaffected.

8. Liability

We take great care to ensure our products are safe and made to high standards. However, Natural Pet Burial cannot be held responsible for any indirect loss, consequential loss, or damage arising from the improper use or handling of our products after delivery.
Our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the product purchased.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under Irish or EU consumer law.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

We respect your privacy and handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Your payment details are processed securely via Stripe and are never shared or stored by us.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
